Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using CandidAI ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CandidAI provides AI-assisted recruitment and job-search tools, including resume analysis, role matching, and candidate screening. The Service uses third-party AI providers (including OpenAI) to process submitted documents and generate analysis outputs.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into this agreement. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at legal@candidai.ca.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to discriminate unlawfully against any person;
• Submit content that is false, infringing, or violates applicable law;
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service;
• Use the Service to develop a competing product without written consent.

6. Credits and Payments

Some features require purchased credits. Credits are consumed upon use and are non-refundable once used. Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed via Stripe. Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice.

7. No Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Analysis outputs are generated by AI and may be inaccurate. CandidAI makes no warranty that the Service will be error-free or that results will be suitable for any particular purpose.

8. Limitation of Liability

CandidAI is not liable for any hiring or employment decisions made using the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or CAD $100, whichever is greater.

9. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you submit. By submitting content, you grant CandidAIa limited, non-exclusive licence to process it solely to provide the Service. We do not use your content to train AI models.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada, except where prohibited by applicable law.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice.
